Obecný popis

Tree 25 - 30 m tall with smooth, later shallow crazed bark. Twigs with distinguish ribs, reddish-brown, the older with gray hair, shiny. Buds at the end of the shoot, ovoid, spiky. buds scales dark red, at the top hairy, on the edge also hairy, shiny.

Listy

Leaves are simple. The lamina is long petiolated, lobated. The lobes usually occur in the number of 7-9 and they are terminated with barbate dents. Incisions of the lobes reach to 1/3 – 1/2 of the lamina. The face is glarous, the underside in maturity is pilose in the vein axils.
