Obecný popis
Tree 15 to 25 m tall with sparse crown. Often with root suckers. In extreme locations is just bush. Shoots are round, glabrous, shiny, the brown-colored. In the youth may be hairy. Buds are glabrous, conical, sharp and slightly sticky. Plodem jsou tobolky.Listy
Leaves are simple. Lamina is rounded to round-ovate on both sides glabrous (mountains) to sparsely pilose (lowlands). On sprout shoots and seedlings are leaves cordate and pubescent. Leaf margin is roughly dentate, on sprout shoots serrated. The petiole is laterally flattened, on sprout shoots round; up to 8 cm long.Rozšíření
