Obecný popis

Tree up to 30 m tall, wide-conical crown, and upright branches. Shoots hairy, later glabrescent, dim, thin. Buds ovoid with 2 scales and dim grey hair. Cover scales are the same lenght with grey hair. Květenství nicí, silně vonné, listen s hvězdicovitými trichomy. Kvete v červenci. Plodem jsou jednopouzdré oříšky, elipsoidní až téměř kulovité, dřevnaté, nezřetelně žebernaté, plstnaté, bradavičnaté.

Listy

Leaves are simple. Lamina is up to 10 cm long. The face is dark green, the underside grey-white tomentose with star-shaped trichomes. The vein axils on the underside are without hairs. The petiole is pubescent.
