Obecný popis

Tree (rless often Shrub) 3-12 m tall. The bark is gray, smooth, at old age stripping. Shoots are slightly squared, brown, shiny, with numerous small light lenticels. Old branches are grey-brown, glabrous. Lateral branches are short, gnarled. Buds are yellow-green, ovoid. The cover scales are shiny, glabrous, on the edge brownish (sometimes ciliate), slightly sticking-out. Kvete v květnu. Malvice jsou hnědé, nelesklé, hustě tečkované.

Listy

Lamina is simple, lobed, widely obovate. Base is diamond or heart shaped. The margin is serrate or doubly serrate, entire by the basis. The front is glabrous, hairy only in early age, the underside is glabrous.

Europe, Asia Minor, the Caucasus, Syria, North Africa; in our area domestic.
